Job Description
What you’ll do
- Managing assigned suppliers in Electronics & electrical commodities like Cable, PCBA's, Controllers, Sensors, Power supply to ensure expectations are met in terms of Quality and timeline.
- Collaboratively work with suppliers and engineering groups on High-voltage Power Supplies and high-power analog power generation (RF and non-RF); this includes managing quality for existing designs (as interface between field teams, engineering teams, and suppliers).
- Deep knowledge of PCBA, controllers, cables design and manufacturing.
- Ability to work with the suppliers to understand how the designs will meet the specs and operate reliably in our environment: that implies ability to work with the design engineers and properly assess FMEA & influence their designs.
- Evaluate internal and external non-conformances and take a lead in problem solving activities, drive root cause and corrective actions with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
- Assist supplier in preparing and implementing 8D (RCCA), First Article, Process of Record (like PPAP approach) and Problem Report (Supplier Deviations, Engineering queries) etc.
- Basic Supplier Engineering activities, in order to sustain product lifecycle (change control, obsolescence management, Factory transfers, Quality paretos from failure analyses and managing product CIP); all of these involve active collaboration with our product groups to get those changes approved.
