Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to sales producers in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects; analyzing client needs, coverage forms and quotations with a focus on Workers Compensation primarily in our NYS Safety Group Unit.

  • Initiate renewal process for existing clients and discusses and creates renewal strategy with sales producers, processes renewals in coordination with sales producers according to agency procedures

  • Conduct marketing, negotiate rates, review quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy

  • Review and summarize marketing results and prepare proposals

  • Finalize proposals and presentations in coordination with producers

  • Bind insurance coverage and prepares binders and or delegates certificates issuance

  • Review policies for accuracy and reviews contracts.

  • Prepare summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients

  • Schedule appointments with clients as requested by sales producers

  • Identify exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages in coordination with sales producers 

  • Occasionally accompany sales producers on prospect and client meetings as requested by sales producers

  • Complete applications in coordination with sales producers; submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers; follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies

  • Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related items; verify their accuracy; forwards them to client with appropriate correspondence

  • Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals for clients and prospects when needed

  • Reviews audits of policies; verify accuracy and facilitates corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.

  • Verifies policy and policy change information, facilitating corrections when necessary

  • Determine reasons for requests for cancellations; acts to save accounts; notify sales producer.

Requirements:

  • Possess strong administrative and computing skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Applied Epic Agency Management experience preferred but not required.

  • Strong knowledge of NYS Workers Compensation and NYS Disability

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent is required

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the Commercial insurance industry or similar role, required

  • Active P&C License

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
