Caster Shift Electrician

Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Shift Electrician includes, but is not limited to, safely maintain electrical components throughout the plant. This includes trouble shooting and repairs, cooperating with and supporting operations, aggressively pursuing process improvement, assist with documentation and training for all equipment and other duties as assigned. Must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. One year of experience in electrical maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Two year degree in electrical maintenance and/or two years of experience in electrical maintenance
2. Electrical safety/NFPA 70E knowledge
3. Motors, PLC, Drives experience
4. Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
