Software specialist CATIA CAA

About the Position:

We are looking for a Software Specialist CATIA CAA -Geometry and Optimization Algorithms (m/f/d) to join our Lighting Technology Department within our Research and Development team for Lighting Division 
 

This position is based at our office in Reutlingen, Germany.

Your Responsibilities will be:

• Development and implementation of C++ software for optical design and simulation
• Design and realization of geometrical CAD objects
• Development and optimization of mathematical algorithms for freeform surfaces
• Maintenance and continuous evolution of a long-term-oriented software architecture for the development of optical components
• Integration of modern methods, e.g. AI-assisted approaches, into development and analysis tools
• Technical collaboration with universities and research institutions

What Qualifications you will bring:

• Completed university degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a comparable field
• proven and solid experience in the development of mathematical algorithms
• Several years of professional experience in software development using C++
• Knowledge of CAD systems (e.g. CATIA V5)
• Confident handling of surface and geometry models (e.g. NURBS, freeform surfaces)
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
• High interest in technically demanding challenges

• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
• Very Good German skills, both written and spoken, preferred but not mandatory
