Purpose of the Role
The role is responsible for planning and conducting internal, supplier and subcontractor HSE audits in alignment with the FGJV HSE Audit Program requirements.
Qualifications
- Certified Lead Auditor for AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 standard or equivalent
- HSE, Project Management and Engineering qualifications
- White Card
Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in HSE Management related roles on large-scale construction projects
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE Management system auditing and Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier and subcontractor auditing
- Demonstrated experience with complex audit processes on large-scale construction project
Required Competencies
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant AS/NZS and International standards for Safety and Environmental audits (e.g. 45001 & 14001)
- Key leadership and collaborative skills
- Proficiency in the use of proprietary software systems used in audits and assurance activities
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel, for audit planning and execution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present audit information, results, and impact of work to senior management and relevant stakeholders
- Proficiency in compiling audit checklists related to audit scope elements
- Strong initiative and proactive nature
- Exceptional report writing skills and the ability to interpret information from multiple sources and consolidate information
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills and adept at working in multicultural teams
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Foster a supportive and collaborative environment.
- Manage performance and ensure deadlines are met.
- Conduct planned audits in alignment with the HSE audit program audit procedure.
- Provide support for coordinating External HSE Audits (e.g Independent Client Audits)
- Provide HSE function with timely and comprehensive audit data for HSE reporting purposes.
- Guide and support FGJV employees and client HSE function on HSE audit related matters.
- Support corrective action processes, including following up on identified non-conformances, workplace inspections and reporting on outcomes and or system effectiveness.
- Act in a consultative capacity where changes in plant, methods machinery, insurance cover, product or employee development are considered.
