About the Role As Test Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Legal Aid’s systems are reliable, high‑quality, and fit for purpose. You will lead end‑to‑end test assurance across a diverse application landscape, working closely with business stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure solutions align with business needs, solution design, and the broader technology roadmap. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will shape testing strategy, embed best practice, and enable the organisation to deliver its strategic vision with confidence. Key responsibilities include: Lead and manage testing and test assurance activities across all systems, including UAT, to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes Oversee vendor testing activities and artefacts to ensure compliance with agreed standards and quality expectations Define and apply appropriate testing strategies, framework, methodologies, and tools aligned to project objectives and system complexity Develop and maintain test management deliverables including Test Plans, daily status reporting, and Test Completion Reports Drive continuous improvement through test automation, building capability and streamlining assurance practices across the team About You You are an experienced and confident Test Manager who brings both strategic insight and hands‑on expertise to quality and test assurance. Comfortable operating with a high level of autonomy, you prioritise work, coordinate resources, and apply sound judgement to deliver outcomes in complex and fast‑paced environments. You enjoy advising others on complex testing matters, influencing best practice, and building capability across teams to uplift testing maturity and quality. You will bring: Demonstrated experience leading testing and test assurance across complex ICT platforms and applications, including cloud‑based environments within large organisations Strong decision‑making skills, with the ability to exercise discretion and professional judgement in managing competing priorities and service expectations Proven ability to provide trusted advice on complex testing and quality matters to stakeholders at all levels Expertise in modern testing strategies, methodologies, tools, and automation approaches You Belong Here Here, every role has purpose.
