Additional responsibilities include:
- Reviews, comprehends and complies with all SOP's and quality assurance standards pertaining to specific area.
- Conduct behavioral assessments on NHPs as requested.
- Establish pairs/social groups and monitor for compatibility. Maintaining the required goal of the QASP.
- Use positive reinforcement to train animals for various husbandry and veterinary procedures.
- Participate in discussions pertaining to enrichment.
- Evaluate and implement novel behavioral data collection methodologies.
- Prepare for incoming shipments of NHPs and work with animal care managers/staff on adjustments to husbandry.
- Organize and maintain related data and demonstrate proficiency using computer programs; able to enter and/or interpret data in spreadsheets for data analyses.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- Occasional work with other species (such as but not limited to various ungulates and mice)
