Job Description
Role Purpose
Direct Production team to achieve delivery, cost, quality, health and safety objectives. Execute the plant plan objectives at the tactical level focused on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and monitor day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve department objectives.
- Ensure production schedules are executed and met by coordinating workflow and resources effectively.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance as needed.
- Provide immediate supervision to subordinates to execute assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Review team performance with team members at regular intervals.
- Build effective relations with plant support groups.
- Conduct hourly/direct labor employee performance reviews and provide coaching as needed.
- Ensure team executes documented operating procedures and follows established document control protocols.
- Implement and monitor training and certification plans.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance productivity or reduce costs without compromising quality/safety standards.
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives or other operational improvement programs.
- Hold reports accountable for adherence to established procedures and setpoints for process control; ensure awareness and compliance to changes.
- Compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental (EHS).
- Other jobs assigned by supervisor or manager.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Engineering background is preferred
- Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing plant, including supervisory experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Proven team leadership skills.
- Good manufacturing management
- Self-motivated, willing to work under pressure. High sense of responsibility and initiative.
- Good oral and written English
- Certified Green Belt preferred
