You will work closely with mechanical, optical, and process engineers to translate concepts into accurate, manufacturable designs and provide technical guidance to junior CAD staff.
What You’ll Do
- Create and maintain complex 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for optomechanical components and assemblies
- Produce detailed fabrication drawings including GD&T, materials, finishes, and cleanliness requirements
- Support optical-mechanical integration by documenting alignment features, mounts, stages, and enclosures
- Ensure drawings comply with company standards, semiconductor industry requirements, and configuration control processes
- Manage drawing revisions, ECOs/ECNs, and PLM/PDM workflows
- Perform drawing checks for accuracy, tolerance stack-ups, and completeness prior to release
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve design and documentation issues
- Support prototype builds, as-built documentation, and design-for-manufacturability efforts
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Drafting/CAD Technicians
What We’re Looking For
