
Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
As a Pharmacy Technician III at Franciscan, you will assist the Pharmacist with technical duties related to the medication use process as needed. The Pharmacy Technician III spends 80% or greater of his or her time completing specialized pharmacy support activities. This role is, also, responsible for quality assurance to maintain the integrity of all medications throughout the facility.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Serve as a senior resource to provide support, guidance and subject matter expertise to other technicians.
Compound, package, and accurately label standard oral and topical formulations in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Dispense medications following the organization's policies and procedures. Deliver medication and ensure appropriate handling and storage.
Fill medication requests and complete required documentation following the organization's policies and procedures.
Provide or assist with training for all new pharmacy technicians.
Maintain drug and supply inventory in distribution areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High School Diploma/GED
2 years Pharmacy Experience Required
2 years Hospital Pharmacy Experience Preferred
1 year Sterile IV Compounding Experience in a Hospital or Infusion Pharmacy Required
Pharmacy Tech, State Cert (PHT) - State Licensing Board
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
