Reporting to the Director, Business Systems PMO, the Operational Excellence Senior Project Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of complex, cross-functional Operations projects that support company and corporate objectives. These initiatives may include process improvement programs, operational productivity initiatives, digital operations enablement, and compliance-related efforts. 

The PM partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and IT stakeholders to define project scope, develop detailed execution roadmaps, and lead delivery through disciplined project management and governance frameworks. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined performance targets while driving operational excellence, stakeholder alignment, and sustainable results. 

 

This position is part of the team located in London, Ontario and will be hybrid.

In this role, a typical day will look like: 

Project planning & governance 

  • Plan and manage multiple projects by leading business case qualification, defining scope, schedule, resources, risks, and cost 

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, risk registers, issue logs, and governance documentation 

  • Apply standard project management, Visual Project Management (VPM), and continuous improvement tools to improve delivery effectiveness. 

Project execution & delivery 

  • Lead the execution of medium to large and/or high-impact business initiatives 

  • Support post-implementation reviews, lessons learned, and sustainment of delivered solutions 

Stakeholder alignment & facilitation 

  • Facilitate cross-functional planning sessions, workshops, and reviews to align stakeholders on objectives, priorities, and delivery commitments 

  • Provide clear, timely communication through dashboards, structured updates, and report-outs to project sponsors, steering teams, and leadership 

Risk, dependency & change management 

  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery risks, project impacts, and dependencies across functions and sites 

  • Manage scope and change control, evaluating impacts to cost, schedule, resources, and business outcomes 

Financial tracking & benefits realization 

  • Partner with Finance and Operations leaders to track project costs, benefits, savings, and realization of expected outcomes 

Compliance & standards 

  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, documentation standards, and audit or regulatory requirements as applicable 

 

The essential requirements of the job include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience 

  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, preferably within manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or industrial environments 

  • Demonstrated experience delivering cross-functional operational or transformational projects 

  • Strong understanding of program/project performance metrics (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity) 

  • Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with competing priorities and stakeholders 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across multiple functions and levels

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this postingWe may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.   

ONTARIO ONLY: The compensation range for this role is $90.000 - $120.000 CAD. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
