This position is based in the Singapore manufacturing plant located in Tuas. The Singapore plant is one of the leading manufacturing plants in Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain International Operations network.
What You’ll Work On
- Provide Leadership and direction to a team of Warehouse Specialist and Associate Front-Line leaders. Define/Align short- and long-term strategies for warehouse. Set KPI, Goals & Objectives and lead the team to deliver results
- Responsible for management of both the in-plant warehouse and external 3rd party managed warehouse. Ensure clean, pest-free storage and secured warehouse to safeguard product integrity
- Ensure People, Process and Systems in place to support the business needs. Plan resources, equip people with the right skills, provide safe workplace with right tools and approved procedures
- Responsible for asset life-cycle management. Ensure preventive maintenance completed as scheduled. implement operator care programs to promote responsible use of warehouse equipment
- Responsible for warehouse policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with policies and procedure, business code of conduct and statutory requirements
- Responsible for work-place safety of all employees and contractors working in the warehouse by ensuring strict compliance to EHS policies and procedures
- Lead investigations for warehouse material control events, ensure timely closure of reports, timely implementation of CAPA and evaluate CAPA effectiveness
- Lead investigations for product damage related customer complaints, drive improvement in material handling to reduce shipper damages
- Track and manage warehouse budget and expenses
- Manage warehouse capacity, ensure optimal utilization, raise request for additional storage capacity in timely manner to support Plan volumes or ad-hoc expansion needs
- Manage performance of outsourced service providers, ensure services are delivered in a timely manner, meeting the company's quality and performance standards within budgeted cost
- Manage inventory for both in-plant and external warehouse. Implement robust inventory control systems, perform periodic physical counts, reconcile, and investigate variances. Ensure compliance with SOX inventory requirement
- Drive warehouse excellence through Lean / Sigma continuous improvement projects
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Material Management or Diploma with minimum more than 6 years of experience.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience and 2 years in management situation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Sigma concepts will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction within the plant and with customers throughout the worldwide Abbott organization.
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional business team environment.
