Job Description
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility systems and utility equipment to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations, while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical utilities and facility equipment such as chillers, boilers, and air compressor systems. Carry out hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of cooling towers, Air Handling Units (AHUs), pumps, and other HVAC systems. Oversee the Water Treatment Plant operations and ensure all critical parameters are maintained within specified limits, including Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), Clean Steam Generation (CSG), and RO systems. Basic knowledge in HT/LT switchgears, HT transformers, MCCBs, protection relays (ECR/OCR) and Electrical distribution system. Hands-on experience in control systems like VSD, Soft starters, sensors and temperature controllers. Maintain accurate documentation, logbooks, SOPs, and maintenance records. Manage contractors and ensure strict compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and permit-to-work systems. Support energy-saving initiatives, continuous improvement projects and plant shutdown activities. Education Diploma / ITE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering or related field. Work Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities and utilities maintenance (manufacturing environment preferred). Able to work on shifts and respond to emergencies when required. Preferred EMA Electrical License. Advantages of Boilerman License. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Troubleshooting skills in electrical systems and able to understand Electrical SLD. Familiarity with critical utility systems such as PW, WFI, clean steam, and HVAC. Familiar with safety regulations and permit-to-work systems Understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements Able to work in controlled/cleanroom environments Teamwork and communication skills Physical Requirements Heavy-Exerting up to 100lbs/45kg of force occasionally and/or up to 50lb/22kg of force frequently, and/or up to 20lbs/9kg of force constantly to move objects.
