BASIC FUNCTION: Summarize the basic purpose of the job

The primary function of this role is to:

  • The primary function of this role is to conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of industrial x-ray inspection equipment. This equipment includes electrical/electronic control, PC, PLC, and motion controls

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:

Information used to describe specific duties; measure the size of the job; problem complexity; impact of errors on organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer site to diagnosis and repair of industrial test equipment; including but not limited to high voltage generators, electrical panels, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Personal Computer (PC), control software and automation components.
  • Travel to customer site for preventative maintenance, installations as well as emergency service.
  • Ensure that all customer concerns are addressed, and the appropriate follow-up is taken.
  • Provide customers with timely updates regarding ETA onsite,
  • Assist manufacturing with system integration and installation.
  • Work with the Service Coordinator on scheduling, parts orders/returns etc.
  • Assist customers over the phone with technical problems and troubleshooting.
  • Train customers on basic operation and maintenance where applicable.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, phone/remote support.
  • Assist in system moves and/or system qualifications where needed.
  • Adhere to NSI’s waste management and recycling policies

  • Electronic test equipment such as Oscilloscope and Multi-meter

  • Sitting, standing, bending and looking at monitors

  • 75% + Travel and overtime, must be able to sit for extended periods

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:

Environmental and atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the responsibilities of this position.

  • Much of the work will be completed at customer site with up to 80% travel required.
