Salary: £26,000 base + uncapped commission

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Recruitment Consultant at Harnham, you’ll:

  • Learn how to build relationships with both clients and candidates.
  • Source and interview talented professionals in the data industry.
  • Manage recruitment processes from start to finish.
  • Develop business development skills to win new clients and grow your desk.
  • Earn commission on every deal you make, with no threshold.

Your Training and Development

You’ll begin your journey through the Harnham Academy, a structured training program combining classroom learning and on-the-job experience. Starting in a candidate-focused role, you’ll build your market knowledge and develop the skills needed to progress into 360 recruitment, managing both clients and candidates.
Our program includes ongoing coaching, regular reviews, and access to senior mentors to help you grow your career quickly and confidently.

The Harnham Training Academy

Why the Harnham Academy is different

The Academy is a dedicated learning environment built specifically for new starters. You are a full time employee from day one, with a clear development framework, classroom training, and on-desk practice running alongside each other.

During your first months you will learn how to:

• Sell opportunities and pitch roles to candidates
• Build relationships and influence decisions
• Run interview processes end to end
• Develop commercial awareness within a fast moving market
• Progress toward managing your own client relationships

You will join one of our specialist Data and AI teams, sitting alongside experienced recruiters while also receiving structured training run by our Learning and Development team.

Training Timeline and Progression

Your development is mapped out clearly from day one:

Months 1 to 3
You build candidate management skills, learn tools, process, sourcing, screening and communication fundamentals.

Month 3 Review
You will be reviewed for progression into Business Development training or continue to deepen your delivery experience depending on readiness.

Months 4 to 6
Either begin BD Academy one day per week to learn sales and client acquisition, or continue developing in a 180 role before progressing later.

From this point, you are on the path to becoming a 360 Consultant, taking ownership for both clients and candidates and earning uncapped commission on every placement.
