What you'll do

 

During your Ignition programme, you will provide support to subject matter experts within the Finance team as they make key strategic decisions that will shape the future of Volvo Car UK. You’ll contribute significantly to the success and future of the brand by delivering fresh ideas and viewpoints and challenging current assumptions to meet the needs of future customers – so an innovative mindset is essential. We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and driven 12-month placement student within our Finance Team to join us from Summer 2026. Key resources include:

• Assisting the Procurement, Accounting and Finance leaders in the team in creating reports, processing information and advising operational teams

• Supporting budget and business plan preparation

• Reviewing and monitoring departmental budgets

• Assisting with financial reporting to Executive Management Team

• Generating accurate and insightful data analysis to support business decisions

• Invoice and credit note validations and processing

 

What you'll bring

 

You will have a real passion for problem-solving and the curiosity to understand business challenges and deliver innovative solutions. You will also have strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to champion new initiatives. You will possess:

Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks

• High attention to detail

• Ability to work independently as part of a small team

• Proficient at Excel and PowerPoint, with Power BI or SAP experience an asset

• A desire to accomplish the ACCA/CIMA, or equivalent, qualification in the future
