Requirements: In order to work as a Special Education Paraprofessional, you must meet the state requirement of being Highly Qualifed prior to your start date. To be considered Highly Qualifed, you must have ONE of the following; a Bachelor's Degree or an Associates Degree, or 60+ hours of post-secondary education, or a Passing Score on the ParaPro Exam. Please be prepared to submit documentation in support of your qualifications. (Acceptable documentation includes transcripts from the college or a copy of the ParaPro Exam report.)
Work Schedule: 6.0 hours per day, Monday - Friday (student contact days)
Start Date: August 17, 2026
Salary: Starting at $21.00/hour
Job Summary: Special Education Paraprofessional will provide instructional and behavioral support for students with significant behavioral needs. Emphasis on quality relationships with students and colleagues. This position involves working with special education students who need encouragement and instruction to help manage their emotions. Must receive a sense of fulfillment when shaping children who are learning skills such as self-control and emotional regulation. Emphasis on quality relationships with students and colleagues. Relational greatness with students and adults is required as is dependable attendance. Willingness to calmly work in a setting that can be highly emotional.
