As a Head of Category, you will be responsible for the overall sales and marketing performance of the Mobile Enhancement Products (MEP) - Smartwatch, Audio, Accessories categories. You will be the go-to leader, firmly accountable for the 5Ps – Performance, Product, Place, Pricing, and Promotion, taking end-to-end responsibility for the category's strategy, execution, and outcomes.
You will lead the category’s (MEP) performance across all sales channels, including Direct to Consumer, Retail, Pureplayer, Operator and B2B. This includes launching new products, managing supply, driving marketing campaigns and ensuring competitiveness in the fast-paced Smartwatch, Audio & Accessories markets.
Role and Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
Create a world class Category Management function, building and developing the team into an efficient, empowered organisation with clearly defined roles, cadence and structures that becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
This position requires strong collaboration across functions within MX. Key stakeholder management is critical to success.
- Category Leadership: Be the primary leader responsible for the category strategy, performance, and execution across all channels.
- 5Ps Accountability: Lead and deliver excellence across Performance, Product, Place, Pricing, and Promotion, ensuring the category’s overall success in the market.
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Define and execute plans to grow sales revenue and market share, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Product Launch Management: Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of new product launches, ensuring impactful go-to-market strategies and exceptional customer experiences.
- Pricing Strategy: Optimize pricing to balance profitability with competitiveness, leveraging insights into market trends and customer behaviour.
- Promotional strategy: Build promotional plans that deliver against ‘management plan’ and successfully acquire, retain, trade up, cross sell our customers.
- Channel Strategy: Develop a deep understanding of the market & channel dynamics to define the approach by allocating the necessary resource to optimise the product portfolio and the customer experience.
- Investment: Be primary approver for sales deduction investment into B2C & B2B customers, assessing the commercial benefit, return on investment and alignment to the category strategy & KPIs.
- Forecasting & Supply Chain: Ensure accurate sell-out forecasting in coordination with channel teams with seamless collaboration with supply chain teams in order to provide consistent product availability. Ensure efficient rolling stock allocations to maximise sell out and avoid aged stock.
- Performance Monitoring: Define and track KPIs, providing actionable insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
- Planning: Drive the commercial planning process collaborating cross-functionally to ensure all functions are contributing the necessary input in a timely manner.

What we need for this role
We’re seeking a results-oriented and innovative leader with a consistent track record of delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in category management, product marketing, or sales leadership roles, preferably in technology or consumer electronics.
5Ps Expertise: Demonstrated success in handling Efficiency, Product, Location, Pricing, and Promotion to drive category growth.
Strategic Vision: Proven ability to design and execute strategies that achieve both short-term and long-term goals in competitive markets.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills to interpret market trends, forecast demand, and inform strategic decisions.
Relationship Management: Experience partnering with major partners to deliver joint business plans and growth strategies.
Customer-Centric Approach: Extensive knowledge of customer needs and behaviours, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Communication Excellence: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to articulate vision, inspire teams, and influence partners.
