At Sobi, the work we do every day redefines the standards of care and transform the lives of people living with rare diseases.

We are committed to an inclusive, sustainable and flexible workplace that fosters growth and development.

Job Description

About the role

Are you energized by complexity, motivated by purpose, and excited by the opportunity to shape supply planning for a product in a pivotal growth phase? As Strategic Planning Manager for you will play a central role in ensuring robust product availability across Drug Substance, Drug Product and Finished Goods. Working across the full supply chain, you will translate commercial and medical priorities into clear, executable plans, navigate uncertainty with confidence, and help steer key decisions that directly support patients living with rare diseases.

This role offers broad visibility and impact, spanning strategic long-term planning, tactical decision-making, and day-to-day supply assurance.

You will join our Global Supply Operations team, report to the Head of Planning, and be based at our Stockholm HQ or Global Hub in Basel.

In this role, you will:

  • Own and continuously evolve the integrated end-to-end supply plan across short-, mid- and long-term horizons, balancing commercial and medical demand, inventory strategy and supply capabilities.
  • Lead scenario planning and supply risk assessments, translating uncertainty into clear options, recommendations and decision material for governance and senior stakeholders.
  • Turn demand signals into capacity, material and inventory requirements, and drive alignment on assumptions and commitments across key planning cycles.
  • Shape allocation and supply prioritization proposals when demand exceeds supply, ensuring transparent trade-offs and strong alignment across markets, indications and programs.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, Medical, TechOps, Quality, Regulatory, Global Distribution and external partners to create one aligned, executable plan.
  • Prepare and present planning insights, risks and mitigation plans in product teams and governance forums, acting as a trusted voice on supply planning and constraints.
  • Establish meaningful planning KPIs and continuously improve ways of working, data quality and tools to strengthen planning performance over time.

Qualifications

About you

You are someone who thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and brings calm, structure and sound judgement when complexity is high. You enjoy working across functions and geographies, influencing without formal authority, and turning ambiguity into clear direction. Just as importantly, you are motivated by meaningful work and excited by the opportunity to help secure supply for patients who rely on innovative treatment options.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A university degree in engineering, supply chain, business, finance or a related field.
  • Significant experience in end-to-end supply planning within pharma, biotech or another highly regulated and complex supply chain environment.
  • A strong track record of building integrated demand and supply plans, leading scenario planning, and navigating supply constraints and prioritization decisions.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with close exposure to Commercial and/or Medical organizations, ideally in launch, access or demand-shaping environments.
  • An advanced degree, MBA, or experience in launch planning, indication expansion, partnership supply chains or capacity expansion projects would be an advantage
  • Strong end-to-end planning expertise, including S&OP, supply planning, inventory strategy, capacity planning and scenario management.
  • The ability to translate complex data into clear insights, business decisions and practical actions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior forums and driving alignment under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with advanced Excel capabilities and experience with planning or analytics systems such as Kinaxis Maestro or Power BI considered a plus.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.

Here at Sobi we live by our core values: Care, Ambition, Urgency, Ownership and Partnership!
