Job Description

 

 County College and Career Academy (CCA) Coordinator

 

REPORTS TO: CTAE Director

JOB OBJECTIVES: (Purpose of the position):
 
To provide the best possible educational opportunities for students in the community served; develop positive school and community relations, including contacts with parents, community groups, other school officials, and the general public

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Functions essential to attaining job objectives):
 
Strategic Goal Area I - Student Achievement

  1.  Supervise work-based learning programs
  2. Assist in the preparation and administration of the system's annual local plan for Career, Technical, and Agriculture Education (CTAE)
  3. Coordinate student discipline
  4. Institute school site policies, methods and procedures
  5. Oversee the safety and security of all students participating in educational programs and all activities of CCA
  6. Assume responsibility for enforcing all county policies and rules

 
Strategic Goal Area II - Student/Stakeholder Engagement & Loyalty

  1.  Manage all aspects of secondary personnel
  2. Oversee facility management
  3. Maintain current knowledge of all pertinent federal and state rules and regulations affecting CTAE
  4. Serve as a liaison between business & industry and CCA
  5. Manage the safety and security of the physical plant

 
Strategic Goal Area III - Efficient and Effective Organizational Processes

  1.  Work with instructional staff to identify needed instructional materials and equipment, prepare a budget, and prepare purchase orders
  2. Develop a master schedule for the utilization of personnel, facilities, and resources
  3. Direct the keeping of all necessary records
  4. Develop, submit, and control school budget and funds


Strategic Goal Area IV - Continuous System and School Improvement

  1. Assess the needs of personnel and provide appropriate staff development
  2. Market CCA to the community
  3. Perform such other duties and tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned

 

JOB STANDARDS (Minimum qualifications needed to perform essential job functions):

  1. Master's Degree with certification in leadership
  2. Minimum of five years teaching experience at the secondary level; secondary administrative experience desirable
