Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team as the key finance partner to Sales and Marketing. 

This is a full‑time opportunity with a hybrid working arrangement, combining time across our Sydney CBD and Sydney Olympic Park offices with flexibility to work from home. 

Your Role 

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you’ll drive commercial performance through insight‑led analysis, forecasting and high‑quality reporting, supporting decisions across pricing, promotions, tenders and growth initiatives. 

Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Act as a trusted finance partner to Sales & Marketing leaders, providing insights and challenging commercial decisions through a profitability lens to influence outcomes. 
• Identify risks and opportunities through analysis of large, complex datasets. 
• Support deals, tenders and promotions, assessing profitability and ROI. 
• Deliver budgets and rolling forecasts across revenue, selling and marketing costs. 
• Produce clear performance reporting, variance analysis and executive‑ready insights. 
• Support month‑end accuracy and implement process improvements to uplift reporting and insights
• Build and maintain commercial models and reporting using Excel, TM1, Tableau and Power Query. 

Your Skills 

You’re a confident commercial finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business and influencing outcomes through insight and clarity. You’ll also bring: 

• 7+ years’ experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering roles. 
• CA or CPA qualified (preferred, not essential). 
• Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical and modelling skills. 
• Confident influencing senior stakeholders and translating complexity into insight. 
• Advanced Excel capability and experience with tools such as NetSuite, Tableau, Power Query or Looker.
