Job Description
About the role
As the Senior Product Manager - Embedded Finance Payables, you will define and drive product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for an SME payables solution within MYOB’s Solo & Embedded Finance portfolio. This role requires close collaboration with teams across Product Management, Product Delivery, Technology, Development, and Research. You will also work with customers, strategic and commercial partners, payment providers, financial institutions, and third-party vendors. This leadership position demands someone who can clarify complex issues, align diverse participants, and transform strategy into valuable results for both customers and the business.
Key Objectives
- Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for the SME payables domain, aligned to Embedded Finance strategy and MYOB goals.
- Lead discovery and validation activities to deeply understand customer needs, workflow difficulties, market opportunities, and commercial trade-offs for SME payables.
- Own the strategy, planning, and delivery of an embedded payables solution across our products. Ensure the proposition is coordinated within core money out workflows instead of positioned as a standalone add-on.
- Prioritise the highest value customer and commercial opportunities across supplier payments, coordinated bills, AP automation, and FX payment capabilities.
- Partner closely with engineering, build, data, finance, risk, compliance, and go-to-market teams to take initiatives from concept through to launch and iteration in an agile environment.
- Ensure product decisions are data-informed, outcomes-led, and grounded in customer, operational, and commercial impact.
- Apply findings from previous SME Payables efforts to build a more scalable, workflow-native, and commercially viable proposition with stronger product-market fit and operational readiness.
- Track and communicate success metrics, risks, findings, and initiative outcomes to partners with clarity and confidence.
- Act as an internal evangelist for the domain, building alignment across product, commercial, operational, and leadership collaborators.
Key skills
- Proven product management experience demonstrating capacity to define strategy, build roadmaps, and deliver measurable outcomes in a complex environment.
- Strong collaborator management skills, with confidence working across senior leadership and a broad range of internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product, technology, build, data, operations, and commercial teams to bring products to market and improve outcomes.
- Solid customer and commercial expertise, able to balance client needs, business objectives, and partner possibilities.
- Experience collaborating with external entities such as payment providers, financial institutions, or platform vendors is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment and momentum across a diverse group of collaborators.
- A strategic and outcome-focused approach, with the ability to prioritise effectively and drive impact in a fast paced environment.
