Your Purpose
Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Business Development Director DACH
We are searching for a commercially focused professional to lead and grow our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) sales channel. This role is centered on maximizing direct sales and generating leads across DTC channels Web, Contact Center, Post Booking and Future Cruise.
Strategic Alignment and Collaboration
The market-based DTC Business Development Director will report to DTC Digital Sales HQ on a dotted-line basis, ensuring alignment with global consumer-direct strategies and driving their effective implementation and acceleration within the local market. The role will work in close collaboration with Dach B2B Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management colleagues to ensure consistency and synergy across channels.
Your Impact
- Develop and execute the DTC strategy
Define a clear commercial roadmap for the direct channel, focusing on product positioning, pricing, and customer value - Own DTC sales performance
Be responsible for Direct Channel sales and production, monitor commercial KPIs, and implement efficient actions to drive growth - Sales planning and commercial initiatives
Create and manage sales plans and promotional offers in alignment with Revenue Management, B2B Sales teams, and Digital Corporate
Be creative and dynamic on a daily tactical basis to accelerate web and Contact Center production within a challenging and high-competitive ecosystem - CRM and customer segmentation
Analyze customer data to identify high-potential segments
Develop tailored product offerings per segment
Push OBR (onboard revenues prepaid) within post booking campaigns to increase customer value pre-cruise
Responsible for measures to maximize FCC (Future Cruise Consultant = bookings onboard) - Lead generation and scalable sales initiatives beyond digital marketing
Collaborate with third-party address providers (digital and postal) for targeted outreach
Establish direct sales partnerships and outbound sales channels
Explore new scalable methods to reach and convert customers outside traditional digital campaigns - Contact Center Excellence: Adress customers inbound and outbound in an excellent and efficient way
- OTA policy compliance and coordination Support B2B Sales colleagues in ensuring OTA policy compliance at the local market level. This includes helping manage situations where formal policies are not yet in place and ensuring alignment with strategic and operational standards set by HQ
Your Journey so far
- Proven track record in developing and executing DTC sales strategies, with a strong focus on digital sales channels
- Demonstrated experience in Digital Sales and Contact Center business, with a deep understanding of pricing, yield optimization, and product value positioning
- Hands-on expertise in CRM strategy, segmentation, and implementation
- Experience in Tourism Industry DACH markets
