Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
Deliver high-quality, consistent client coverage across selected sectors through market insights and tailored materials
Lead client marketing and mandate execution across sustainable finance and ESG advisory solutions
Support the expansion of sustainable finance opportunities as well as ESG advisory beyond labelled products
Advise clients on evolving ESG and sustainability topics, including regulatory and policy developments, transition strategies, ESG targets and reporting, ratings, taxonomies, legislation, and product principles (ICMA, LSTA…)
Maintain deep knowledge of global sustainable finance markets (market trends, financial product development, structuring)
Oversee analysts and associates in the development and maintenance of databases, client presentations, market communications, and internal reporting
Provide thought leadership to clients and internal stakeholders by leading thematic research and presentations, and contributing to market commentary, product development, internal education, and external events
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Scotiabank’s footprint to further support and develop sustainable finance and Scotiabank enterprise initiatives
Manage external partnerships and third-party relationships (e.g. trade associations, ESG working groups, SPO providers, ESG rating providers, credit rating agencies, and accounting firms)
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk
