Brief Role Description
Employees who evaluate risks and make them transparent, define countermeasures, and carry out corresponding checks.
Possible Tasks within this Role
Credit risk
• Analysis of the credit and leasing portfolio.
• Preparation and submission of regular/on-demand risk reports to management.
• Monitoring compliance with established risk limits.
• ECL calculation (IFRS 9).
• PD LGD calculation.
Operational risk
• Analysis of business processes to ensure compliance with internal control requirements.
• Delivering training to staff on operational risk management tools (incidents, internal control, BCP).
• Quality control of incident reporting.
• Monitoring and verifying internal control reports from other departments.
• Development and maintenance of internal documents relating to operational risk management.
Qualification requirements
• A degree in finance, economics or mathematics.
• At least one year’s experience in risk management (credit, foreign exchange, interest rate), preferably within financial institutions.
• Knowledge of the principles and tools of credit and operational risk management.
• Understanding of the role of the second line of defence in the risk management system.
• Knowledge of the NBU’s key risk management requirements.
• Ability to work with large datasets.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to apply internal guidelines and regulatory requirements in practice.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with representatives of other departments, demonstrating professionalism and a constructive approach.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Experience in report development using Power BI (would be an advantage).
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 – Upper-Intermediate level).
