Associate General Counsel
The position may be based at our Franklin, TN corporate office on a hybrid schedule or performed 100% remotely within the United States.
Summary:
Innovative Renal Care (IRC) is seeking an Associate General Counsel to provide legal support across IRC and its affiliated entities. This role supports a wide range of legal and regulatory matters while helping advance IRC’s mission of delivering superior patient care.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents
- Research and analyze legal and regulatory issues related to health law, contract law, corporate law, business law, employment law, and landlord‑tenant law
- Prepare and submit filings requiring state agency or administrative approval; coordinate with government officials to secure approvals
- Provide ongoing counsel and guidance on legal risks, compliance considerations, and business initiatives
- Support litigation strategy by reviewing facts, documents, and case details in collaboration with internal and external counsel
- Manage communications and engagements with outside counsel
- Partner with internal departments to ensure aligned, timely, and compliant execution of legal and operational priorities
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
- Active admission to the state bar in the state where you reside
- 1–3 years of experience in a law firm or in‑house legal department required
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and execute work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
