Description

To perform the Detailing Coordinator role successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner. The following duties are representative of the job but are not all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned as needed.
 


Key Responsibilities

· Adheres to standards for Shop Drawings.
· Coordinates the flow of information from details to the field.
· Models and details projects from start to finish.
· Keeps track of models and keep them up to date.
· Continual refinement of drawings to meet the needs of the field.
· Makes quick changes to shop drawings based on need.
· Participation in BIM coordination for projects, as needed.
· Ownership of BIM clashes and changes required.
· Works with the project team to develop and detail the drawings.
· Provides a consistent flow of communications and information to and from the project teams.
· Collaborates with 3rd party detailing partners as needed.
· Communicates shop drawing status continually with project teams.
· Communicates BIM Coordination issues/clashes/tasks to project teams.
· Collaboration with the Layout department teams as needed.
· Provides continual updates to senior leadership on the following:
· Department and employee needs.
· Overall department hits/misses.
· Progress on areas needing improvement.
· 3rd party detailing partners.
· Work in partnership with managers to design, teach, and maintain the BIM- related project management training program.
· Performs other duties as assigned potentially including but not limited to:
· Assistance to Project Managers at a PE level of competency.
· Assistant to Estimators at a PE level of competency.
· Assistance with management of the Layout department.
· Assistance with management of the Sitework department.
· Assistance with management of the Leased Labor program.



Qualifications

The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the job but are not all-inclusive.
· Three or more years of relevant experience in the construction industry or a bachelor’s degree in AEC Technology program, bachelor’s in Architecture, or bachelor's in CEM.
· Can demonstrate proficiency related to this position.
· Proficient in the use of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office suite.
· Experience with Procore or other similar software.
· Experience with Construction Management software.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Must be able to follow and give written and verbal instructions.
· Can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
· Exercise independent judgment within defined parameters.
