Optical Sales Associate

The Virginia Eye Institute (VEI) is hiring!  VEI is a large and dynamic practice of ophthalmologists and optometrists in the Richmond, VA area. We are searching for a full-time optical sales associate to join our busy practice. Job Purpose    Greets and welcomes patients in a friendly manner as soon as they arrive in optical locations. Provides prompt, courteous service to patients either on the phone or in person. Ensures high quality customer service     Duties and Responsibilities   Ensures a smooth flow of customers through the store by: Processing patient’s paperwork. process. Answers, screens, and forwards incoming phone calls in accordance with NVI protocol. Provides a good first impression by answering the phone promptly within 3 rings. and helpful tone. Processes and understands managed care plans. Obtains and documents information from the insurance company as needed. Provides customers basic and accurate information Participates in regularly scheduled mandatory communications meetings in order to keep informed of changes in corporate policies and initiatives. Responsible for nightly financial closings and bank deposits. Other duties as assigned
