- Support assembly welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of environmental equipment.
- Assist with delivery of inventoried, inspected, tested, and organized materials and equipment to meet project schedules.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on shop and field equipment.
- Follow work orders and repair schedules to ensure equipment is maintained to standard.
- Conduct and support assembly welding and mechanical assembly of various components.
- Support repair and maintenance of pumps, filtration systems, and remediation equipment using hand tools and shop equipment.
- Contribute to shop organization, standardization, and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure accurate inventory, proper inspection, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Assist with warehouse inventory control and tracking systems.
- Follow established systems for tracking shop tools, equipment, assets, and materials.
- Perform stockroom duties, including counting and categorizing parts.
- Complete general housekeeping tasks, such as trash removal, sweeping, and snow removal.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduation from a two‑year technical trade program preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of welding experience preferred, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working independently in a shop environment performing welding, fabrication, and mechanical repair.
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.
- General computer skills required.
- Familiarity with a wide range of mechanical skills preferred, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and welding.
- Safety & Communication — Safety‑driven mindset with strong communication skills
- Welding & Fabrication — 2–3 years of professional welding experience, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding for fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal components and environmental equipment.
- Assembly & Fitting — Proficient in mechanical assembly, welding assembly, and fitting components according to drawings, work orders, and supervisor direction.
- Mechanical Repair — Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing pumps, filtration systems, and remediation equipment using a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Equipment Maintenance — Experienced in performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with shop standards.
- General Trades Knowledge — Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general mechanical systems used in equipment repair and fabrication.
- Shop Operations — Strong background in inventory control, tool tracking, material organization, and maintaining efficient workflow in a high‑activity shop environment.
- and the ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical Capability — Able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds as part of daily shop and warehouse duties.
- Computer Skills — Competent with basic computer systems for work orders, inventory tracking, documentation, and shop communication.
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience
