Infrastructure Engineer (Virtualisation)

Role Overview Provide second \ third line support and technical implementation: installation, maintenance, performance optimization of infrastructure technologies Key Responsibilities Evaluate hardware and software (for server, network, storage or desktop environments) Test all deliverables produced and document results. Integration and test of new products (both hardware and software) for incorporation into program infrastructure. Administration and enhancement of the environment and its supportability. Provide second line support. Carry out project tasks to ensure the viability of the project Accurately assess time to complete tasks in order to follow standard project processes and procedures. To be aware of the relevant SLA structure and to respond, fix or escalate according to the limits set out within that structure. Maintain Operational and User procedures to ensure that Team Leader is informed of progress.
