Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Launches responsible for the end-to-end management of engineering changes and new product development from concept through Start of Production (SOP). This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, efficient manufacturing processes aligned with quality, safety, and productivity objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering changes from concept through release to Production, coordinating with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Materials, EHS, Finance, and Engineering.
- Administer and track systems related to engineering changes (PLM, QAD, Prolink, and customer portals).
- Maintain overall control of engineering changes (quotation, in-process, implemented, and canceled).
- Develop block diagrams, project layouts, and process documentation.
- Support achievement of production KPIs such as OEE, scrap, and production rates.
- Lead and follow up on Poka-Yoke, Red Rabbits, and PFMEA activities.
- Analyze process flow, line balancing, equipment layout, and ergonomics.
- Support problem-solving activities, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Present weekly status updates on engineering changes and projects to staff and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- Experience with product launches and engineering changes.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Core Tools (PFMEA, Process Flow Diagram, Control Plan, PPAP).
- Lean Manufacturing (VSM, line balancing, 5S).
- Automotive injection and assembly processes.
- Project management.
