Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Commissioning Engineer – Pipeline to support offshore and onshore pipeline projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing pre-commissioning activities including hydrotesting, pigging, flushing, dewatering, drying, nitrogen purging, and leak testing activities in compliance with project specifications and HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute pipeline pre-commissioning activities for offshore/onshore projects.
Review project specifications, procedures, method statements, and engineering documents.
Coordinate activities related to cleaning, gauging, flooding, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, nitrogen purging, and preservation.
Prepare pre-commissioning procedures, work packs, technical reports, and test documentation.
Coordinate with construction, commissioning, operations, and client teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor subcontractors and vendor activities during site execution.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with HSE policies and international standards.
Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
Troubleshoot technical issues during pre-commissioning operations.
Maintain project schedules and provide progress updates to management.
Ensure proper calibration and certification of testing equipment and tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in pipeline pre-commissioning activities within the Oil & Gas industry.
Strong experience in hydrotesting, pigging, flushing, dewatering, drying, and nitrogen purging.
Offshore project experience is preferred.
Familiarity with international codes and standards related to pipeline commissioning.
Good understanding of HSE practices and offshore safety regulations.
Ability to work in a multicultural and fast-paced project environment.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with offshore pipelines, subsea systems, and EPC projects.
Knowledge of commissioning software and reporting systems.
Valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET/HUET and OGUK Medical are an advantage.
