Job Description
The Marketing Services & Events Specialist is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of tradeshows, customer training programs, webinars, and industry award submissions for the Commercial Construction market. This role ensures a strong and consistent brand presence across all events and digital touchpoints while managing logistics, promotions, and post-event lead follow-up.
The position works closely with business units, product managers, sales teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality, engaging experiences that support sales and marketing objectives. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, creativity, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Tradeshow, Customer Training, & Event Management
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of national and local tradeshows from planning through execution.
- Partner with exhibit vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful and professional event execution.
- Collaborate with business units and acquired companies to ensure optimal brand representation.
- Maintain an annual calendar of tradeshows and events.
- Support product and business unit managers in developing themes and concepts that reinforce a modern, cutting-edge brand image.
- Implement and manage lead capture processes at tradeshows and ensure timely distribution of leads to inside and field sales teams.
- Coordinate customer training events nationally, including scheduling, vendor management, promotion, and on-site or virtual execution.
Webinars
- Serve as the primary liaison between sales, marketing, and business unit managers for webinar planning and delivery.
- Manage webinar logistics including registrations, communications, content coordination, and execution.
- Oversee promotional campaigns via email, social media, and sales outreach.
- Ensure webinar landing pages remain accurate and up to date.
- Facilitate customer follow-up after webinar completion.
Awards & Industry Associations
- Lead efforts to achieve national recognition through industry association awards.
- Manage industry association memberships.
- Coordinate award submissions in collaboration with marketing, sales, and product management teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in event planning or marketing events
- Experience with marketing technologies, including websites, social media, and digital engagement tools
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Salesforce, and email marketing platforms preferred
- Experience working with customers in the construction products industry strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
- Creative mindset with a strong customer focus
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%
