Location: Dandenong South, VIC
About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Global Corporate Head Office based in Dandenong South. Working alongside our Senior Finance team, this is a varied and hands-on role where you will support financial processes and contribute to reporting across a group of companies and trusts.
Daniels is a large international business operating across Australia, USA, UK, Canada and South Africa. Our work spans manufacturing, transport, distribution and the treatment of healthcare waste. We also manage a growing investment and property portfolio, along with two major charitable foundations with over $50m invested.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
-
Prepare monthly reporting packs and associated reports for assigned entities
-
Assist with actual and forecast cash flow reporting
General Ledger and Reconciliations
-
Process month-end journals
-
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
-
Maintain fixed asset registers
-
Process and reconcile intercompany transactions
-
Reconcile non-operating entities on a quarterly basis
-
Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations (local and foreign currency)
Compliance

Assist with preparation of BAS returns across multiple jurisdictions
Ad Hoc Support

Prepare reports as required by management

Support the wider finance team as needed
What We’re Looking For
Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Accounting

Strong Excel skills
-
Good understanding of reconciliations and financial principles

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Confident using Microsoft Office and finance systems

Ability to adapt and work in a changing environment

Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a team

Willingness to undertake CPA or CA
