Job Description
Job Title: Behavior Facilitator Wage/Hour Status: TBD
Reports to: Principal Pay Grade: IS 3 - Starting Pay $14.50

Primary Purpose:
The role of the behavior facilitator is to assist campuses in facilitating students' behavior management by providing additional support to those students who exhibit chronic behavior problems in the classroom or campus setting.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and campus staff
Ability to create and design materials to support positive behavior
Ability to form and maintain positive relationships with students
Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
Ability to interpret data
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience:
3+ years of experience of working with students
Supporting students who required behavior support, preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional and Program Management
- Observe and consult with campus staff and administrators on an ongoing and proactive basis.
- Assist campus staff with Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
- Provide social skills training to students

- Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
- Keep informed of and comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies.
- Demonstrate ability to train, demonstrate and implement current research-based strategies in area assigned.
- Compile and maintain all required reports, records, and other documents as determined necessary.
- Assist teachers and administrators in implementing behavior intervention strategies and behavior support plans.
- Provide supervision and support for students exhibiting behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Assist with de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques using district-approved behavior management strategies.
- Monitor student behavior in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, bus areas, and other campus locations.
- Support students in developing appropriate social, emotional, and self-management skills.
- Reinforce campus expectations, routines, and positive behavior interventions.
- Assist with documentation of student behaviors, interventions, and incidents as directed by campus administration.
- Provide one-on-one or small group behavioral support to students as assigned.
- Assist students during transitions throughout the school day.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and other support staff regarding student behavioral needs.
- Help maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment.
- Assist with crisis intervention situations as needed and in accordance with district procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supervises small group student activities.
