Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Equipment Design Technician - III to join our team. The ideal candidate will develop electrical and pneumatic designs, PLC/HMI programs, assemble tooling, and setup/debug equipment for the NAL equipment build group.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
- Creates electrical and pneumatic designs using Autocad/Draftsight.
- Creates electrical and pneumatic BOM’s.
- R & D all customer and internal specified new technology to be able to successfully implement into equipment via setup, programming, etc. and train other employees how to implement.
- Develops machine PLC programming (ladder logic) (Mitsubishi, Keyence, etc.).
- Develops operator interface software (Mitsubishi).
- Marks-up design prints to provide feedback to Design about problems so that they can be updated.
The salary range for this position is $63,000 - $93,500 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.
Requirements
Your Background
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls and Instrumentation, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline OR
- High School Diploma, plus 5 or more years of related experience, which includes experience with PLC programming, HMI programming, and electrical prints.
