Senior Manager – Funds Finance & Securitisation Risk

Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) supports non-bank financial institutions, asset managers, funds and institutional investors through a range of financing and risk management solutions. IB&M Risk Management provides independent oversight to ensure transactions are executed within risk appetite, with a strong focus on timely and effective risk decisioning. 

The opportunity

This role is designed to provide immediate execution capacity across a high-volume pipeline of funds finance and securitisation transactions. You will focus on end-to-end deal execution, credit assessment and transaction support, working closely with front-line teams to deliver timely, high-quality risk outcomes. 

Key responsibilities 

Transaction Execution & Credit Delivery 

• Act as the risk partner on live deals across funds finance and securitisation transactions. 

• Analyse, interpret and review credit papers across a portfolio of non-bank lenders, Fund Finance and Securitisation customers with a focus on quality, clarity and speed of execution. 

• Support deal structuring discussions to ensure alignment with risk appetite. 

• Present transactions to relevant credit approval forums and provide recommendations. 

Funds Finance & Structured Lending Assessment 

• Assess subscription finance facilities, NAV / asset-based lending, structured financing and securitisation warehousing and support facilities. 

• -Evaluate collateral quality, liquidity, leverage, investor base and structural protections. 

Pipeline Management & Turnaround 

• Manage a pipeline of transactions with competing deadlines 

• Deliver timely risk decisions to support business execution and client outcomes 

• Work closely with deal teams to resolve issues efficiently 

• Maintain strong prioritisation discipline in a fast-paced environment 

Portfolio & Ongoing Monitoring 

• Support monitoring of existing exposures across funds and securitisation portfolios 

• Identify emerging risks and ensure appropriate escalation 

• Contribute to periodic reviews and updates for existing transactions 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support 

• Partner with IB&M front-line teams to facilitate smooth transaction execution 

• Engage with stakeholders across Risk and business teams 

• Support consistent application of risk frameworks and policies 
   

We’re interested in hearing from people who have 

• Strong experience in credit risk and structured lending within institutional banking, markets or non-bank financial institutions

• Extensive hands on experience in funds finance (subscription/NAV lending), securitisation and NBFIs

• Proven track record in transaction execution and credit paper delivery. 

• Ability to operate effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. 

• Strong analytical capability and clear communication skills. 

• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines. 

• Sound judgement balancing risk and commercial outcomes.
