Compass Datacenters is recruiting for a Sr. Government Relations Specialist that will be responsible for supporting the Government Relations function — assisting with execution, monitoring, and stakeholder coordination.
Responsibilities:
- State and local bill tracking and analysis for issues affecting Compass Datacenters and the data center industry.
- Monitoring beyond the legislature — regulatory agencies, rulemaking, public comment periods.
- Assisting with state legislative sessions and advocacy efforts; same at the local level.
- Helping coordinate legislative visits/meetings, and site tours for officials.
- Keeping stakeholders informed on legislative and regulatory developments; coordinating RPWs.
- Assisting with policy briefs, talking points, and one-pagers; maintaining a legislative contact database.
- Attending and helping to manage trade association meetings and working groups; reporting key takeaways back to the business.
Skills and Experience:
- Proactive — identifies emerging issues before they escalate.
- Preferred: state capital experience with at least one or two legislative sessions.
- Preferred: familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies (utility commissions, environmental agencies).
- Can distill complex policy into clear, concise briefs for business leaders.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in government relations, government affairs, or public policy.
- Skilled in bill tracking, regulatory proceedings, and legislative processes.

Dallas, TX.
