Job Description
Job Summary:
Food Runner responsibilities include setting tables, serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils. If you’d like to gain experience in the F&B industry and learn how to provide an excellent dining experience, we’d like to meet you. To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including weekends.
Set up person works closely with the Banquet Manager to ensure that the Banquet and Dining areas are designed according to the event that day or an event in the near future.
Moving of tables, chairs, dance floors and any other items needed to utilize the room correctly.
Capable of moving chairs and tables. Being on your feet for several hours at a time. Walking up and down stairs as needed.
Ultimately, you will ensure our member have a high-quality dining experience by serving their food in a timely and accurate manner.
Job Duties:
1. Set-up and prep of kitchen (condiments are full, soup bowls are prepped, bread is in the warmer, steak knives are polished, cracker bins are stocked, to-go containers are stocked, etc.)
2. Deliver food orders from the kitchen to members’ tables rapidly and accurately
3. Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House teams
4. Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
5. Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
6. Remove dirty dishes and utensils from tables and bar area dish tub
7. Answer members’ questions about ingredients and menu items
8. Inform servers and management team about members’ feedback or requests
9. Prepare tables with special attention to sanitation and order
10. Coordinates the set-up and delivery of all banquet events/Club functions under the direction of the banquet/catering manager
11. Set-up and break down of furniture for events
12. May serve as food runners during events carrying trays and pans of prepared food
13. May serve as bar back
14. Assist in set up of food and beverage operations during golf outings
15. Occasionally fill in as head banquet server
16. Completes other appropriate assignments made by upper management.
17. Maintains a professional image that represents The Congress Lake Club in and outside of the workplace
