Job Description

  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery
  • Interpret and execute work from technical drawings, cut sheets, and production plans
  • Ensure accurate cutting, sizing, and quality control of wood components
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
  • Collaborate with the production team to meet timelines and quality standards
  • Support other shop operations as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this Shop Technician role would likely possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 years of cabinetry, millwork, or carpentry experience
  • Machinery Knowledge: Proficiency with woodworking machines such as beam saw, edge banders and hand/power tools
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cut sheets
  • Maintenance: Familiarity with daily maintenance and troubleshooting of woodworking equipment
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform tasks involving standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, math skills and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively and follow instructions
  • Computer Literacy: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn internal systems
  • Asset: Forklift Certification

Additional Information

Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time, Monday through Friday Shift 10:00 am – 6:30 pm
  • Hourly pay with occasional overtime opportunities
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick days
  • Benefits after 3 months: Dental, health spending account and extended health care
  • Pay: $22 - 25 per hour
