Job Title: Trainee Property Manager

Location: Reading

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 5pm

Salary: Up to £28,800 OTE

Job Summary and key responsibilities

An exciting opportunity to work with the growing Living Markets Lettings team. The role will be to manage a portfolio of properties for investment grade Corporate landlord’s and provide support to the Senior Property Manager and the wider corporate team.

Experience within Property Management is desirable but not essential - we will train you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage property tenancies from move-in to move-out, ensuring compliance with landlord instructions.

  • Coordinate inspections, safety checks, repairs, and maintenance works.

  • Liaise with landlords, tenants, managing agents, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Manage tenancy renewals, extensions, notices, rent reviews, and deposit releases.

  • Respond to tenant and property issues, including emergencies and legal notices.

  • Handle internal and external complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Oversee invoices, utility updates, landlord queries, and service charges.

  • Conduct site visits and ensure all properties remain compliant with regulations.

  • Support smooth onboarding of managed properties and maintain industry qualifications.

What are we looking for:

  • This role requires a self-motivated and organised individual who can use initiative to solve problems.

  • Exceptional customer service skills and effective communication both verbal and written.

  • Preference will be that the candidate also has professional body training exams with either an ARLA, RICS, IRPM or ARMA certification or be prepared to undertake the exam within the first 6 months of joining - fully supported by us!

  • IT literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Must have ability to work from both home and Head Office in Reading.
