Senior Stadium Venue Operations Manager @ American Legion Memorial Stadium and The Grady Cole Civic Center Mecklenburg County Governments Park and Recreation Department is looking for a Dynamic Senior Stadium and Venue Operations Manager to join our team! This position will assist in the management and operation of the American Legion Memorial Stadium and Grady Cole Civic Center. American Legion Memorial Stadium is a 9,300 seat stadium that was renovated and reopened in 2021. The stadium is home to Carolina Ascent FC, Charlotte Independence, Anthem Rugby Club, ACC Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Conference Championships and the Premier Lacrosse League. It also hosts a variety of other events including, football, lacrosse, rugby, festivals and concerts. The Grady Cole Civic Center, which opened in 1956, hosts a wide variety of indoor events. This position will manage all aspects of facility operations, including development and execution of a maintenance program for the facilities, equipment management, staff supervision, management of service contracts, inspection of work sites and equipment to ensure compliance with County standards, budget management, event contract management, oversight of safety training program related to activities in the facilities, and event day management responsibilities (i.e. set-up, trash, site clean-up, etc). This exempt full-time position will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
