Business Analyst - FDOT (Tallahassee, FL)

You will play a crucial role in providing technical analysis, defining comprehensive technical requirements, and optimizing business processes at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Office of Information Technology, Application Services Team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical analysis for the AASHTOWare product suite.

• Discover and document current state business processes and system interactions.

• Analyze customers’ business needs to develop comprehensive technical requirements and specifications.

• Prepare technical responses, impact assessments, and solution recommendations.

• Analyze current customizations for compatibility and potential migration into the AASHTOWare SaaS product suite.

• Collaborate with the product team to support planning and execution of upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and product implementations.

• Serve as a liaison between the business office and the AASHTOWare product team to ensure alignment of business needs, technical feasibility, and prioritization.

• Translate complex business needs into actionable development tasks and effectively represent business interests during solution development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Technology, or another related field, or equivalent work experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT product development, engineering, or project delivery.

• At least 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams through complex product or technology solution delivery in a high-tech or government environment.

• Strong organizational skills, advanced technical analysis capabilities, and excellent customer-facing communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to submit your resume strictly in PDF or Word doc format, as other formats will be automatically disqualified.

Nice to have:

• Experience in the configuration, implementation, or integration with the AASHTOWare suite.

• Familiarity with agile and iterative delivery methods, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.

• Experience working with government procurement and IT project governance, especially Rules 60GG-1 – 60GG-5, Florida Administrative Code.

• Experience with SharePoint 365, ServiceNow, collaborative product planning tools, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft DevOps.

On-Site: Tallahassee, Florida

Schedule: Monday to Friday, flexible between 7 AM and 7 PM
