About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, growth-oriented insurance defense firm seeking an experienced Litigation Partner to help lead its New York practice. This is a senior-level role designed for an attorney who excels in strategy, oversight, mentorship, and client leadership, rather than day-to-day case handling.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience defending construction accident and New York Labor Law matters and enjoys guiding litigation strategy, supporting attorney development, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and insurers.
The Role
As a Partner, you will play a key leadership role within the litigation team, providing high-level oversight of complex matters while helping maintain strong, long-term client relationships. You’ll collaborate closely with associates and senior attorneys, ensure litigation quality standards are met, and step in as needed on high-impact cases.
This role offers the flexibility of a remote-first environment while remaining actively engaged in New York court appearances when required.
Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight and direction on complex insurance defense litigation matters

Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and stakeholders

Review pleadings, motion practice, and litigation strategy to ensure quality and consistency

Mentor and develop junior and senior attorneys through guidance and feedback

Support firm leadership by maintaining high professional and performance standards

Step into matters as needed to ensure effective outcomes
Required Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active admission to the New York Bar (in good standing)

7-10 years of litigation experience within insurance defense

Strong experience with New York Labor Law, including construction accident defense

Prior experience working within an insurance defense law firm
