Team Leader - Revenue Clerk Grade:7/8 Employment Type: 1* Ongoing/ and 1*temporary opportunity with a potential for becoming ongoing Hybrid vs In-office requirements in any of our Revenue NSW offices - Parramatta, Gosford, Lithgow, Maitland and Wollongong This role sits within the Strategy and Innovation Division in the Revenue Management team About the team The Revenue Management team sits within Strategy Innovation at Revenue NSW, responsible for the financial management and reconciliation of more than $45 billion in state revenue each year. As a Team Leader, you will combine people leadership with meaningful project work across the Taxes, Grants, Fines and State Debt portfolios, including stakeholder engagement, forecasting, monthly reconciliations, Treasury reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen outcomes for business partners and customers. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, ability to meet deadlines, and adapts confidently to evolving systems and business processes. Your day-to-day Lead and manage a team to deliver multiple, daily deliverables. Undertake monthly financial reconciliations. Provide expert guidance on complex or sensitive matters and legislative interpretation. Review work for quality, providing technical, procedural and business rules advice to support staff development. Monitor team performance and capability, addressing risks, trends and improvement opportunities. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support projects, new initiatives and service improvements Key accountabilities – You will lead a professional team operating in a complex regulatory environment, ensuring revenue is managed accurately. This role has a strong focus on revenue protection, audit quality and staff capability, requiring sound judgement. You’ll contribute to developing and improving procedures, support a variety of projects and provide technical leadership that builds capability across the team. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Experience in audit, compliance, banking or a similar regulatory environment. Strong understanding of, or ability to interpret and apply, complex legislation and policy frameworks. The ability to work across multiple workstreams and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Proven ability to manage performance, coach staff and build technical capability within a team. Experience with revenue forecasting and estimates. Experience working in a financial accounting setting. Have a strong attention to detail and excellent organisational ability.
