Description
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial Roofing Service Technician to join our growing service team. This hands-on role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial roofing systems across a variety of building types. The ideal candidate brings solid field experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to respond quickly and professionally to service calls.
What You'll Do:
- Perform leak investigations, repairs, and maintenance on commercial roofing systems
- Respond on-site within 48–72 hours of leak notification from the Service Manager
- Complete detailed, accurate work orders and service documentation
- Communicate job status and findings clearly to the Service Manager
- Operate safely and in compliance with all OSHA and company safety standards
- Maintain and care for company-issued truck, tools, and equipment
- Support other technicians and field crews as needed
Response Time & Expectations:
On-site response is required within 48–72 hours of receiving a service notification from the Service Manager. Technicians are expected to be available, communicative, and prepared to mobilize quickly when dispatched.
Work Environment:
This is a field-based position. Work is performed outdoors on commercial rooftops and may involve exposure to heights, varying temperatures, and physical demands including lifting, climbing, and prolonged standing. A company truck will be assigned to this role for field use.

What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency in single-ply roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Built-Up Roofing (BUR) systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in metal roof systems
- Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills in the field
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to manage time effectively
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial roofing field experience
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Manufacturer certifications (GAF, Firestone, Carlisle, or similar)
- Familiarity with basic roofing-related smartphone/tablet apps for reporting
