SKIMS is looking for a detail-driven, technically sharp Project Manager focused on development & construction to join our New Store Development team. This role sits at the intersection of design & execution — supporting the delivery of SKIMS retail environments including flagship stores, pop-ups, experiential activations, and office spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- QA/QC construction drawings at DD, CD, and IFC stages to ensure accuracy in design and scope.
- Support onboarding of design architects and ensure alignment on SKIMS standards from day one.
- Provide assistance to the design development and production of construction documentation.
- Ensure consultants maintain schedules and are provided information required to complete drawings
- Manage and coordinate with consultants and vendors. They include, but are not limited to, production architects, engineers, furniture vendors, general contractors.

- Manage all preconstruction activities: obtain permit information from the permit expeditor, ensure utilities are available upon possession, distribute project contact list to vendors and contractors, alert company of commencement of construction, etc.
- Travel to construction sites to confirm construction execution is meeting standard design intent.
- Review submittals and shop drawings for design conformance.
- Create construction budgets and ensure modifications and alterations to store design reflected budget number
- Provide coordination and assistance to millwork, storefront, and signage shop drawings.
- Ensure barricades and graphics are installed.
- Manage the bid phase: review and negotiate proposals, prepare general contractor bid leveling analysis, ensure all required materials and resources are available and within budgetary guidelines, and ensure all proposals are executed and returned to the vendors.
- Track and maintain project costs-to-date through the approval of all invoices utilizing the department project accounting tracking reports.
- Coordinate with technology department and operational teams to ensure accurate construction implementation.
- Manage the construction phase: costs, schedule, quality, and timely completion of punch lists.
- Manage the turnover activities to retail operations.
- Maintain excellent relationships with contractors, consultants, designers and internal customers.
- Ensure all owner furnished materials (e.g. lighting, flooring, millwork, etc) are ordered and delivered to the jobsite according to the construction schedule.
- Maintain all project digital and hardcopy files of permit approvals certificates of occupancy, etc.
- Ensure all financial closeout documents are complete, correct and timely.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in architectural design, construction management, store development, or experiential environments.
- Strong visual sensibility and deep understanding of spatial design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp (or similar 3D tools), and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project for scheduling, milestone tracking, and project reporting.
- Experience producing layouts, renderings, and polished presentation materials.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment without dropping the detail.
- Strong communicator — clear, concise, and proactive with both internal teams and external partners.
- Genuine passion for fashion, retail, and the art of creating elevated brand experiences.
- Experience with submissions & jurisdictional permit requirements.
- Interest in emerging retail concepts and innovative customer experiences.
- Strong understanding of retail construction documentation, with experience producing full drawing sets.
- Background in construction project management.
