The Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Controller, Americas, to support our Corporate Controller, Americas, in driving high‑quality financial reporting, consistent accounting practices, and strong internal controls across the region. This role supports day‑to‑day operations, standardizes processes, and coordinates across multiple Chromalox entities and plant locations. Your Responsibilities: Support management of accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Assist in implementing and maintaining consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all Americas locations. Prepare, review, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting submissions. Assist month‑end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and variance analysis. Support development and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets. Assist internal and external audit preparation, coordination, and remediation activities. Provide operational accounting support to General Accounting and Plant Controlling teams in Utah, Tennessee, and Mexico. Support financial submissions, reconciliations, and controls for non‑JDE entities (Brazil). Support consolidation activities, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency accounting. Contribute to accuracy of consolidated financial statements (JDE reporting into TM1). Assist with documenting procedures and strengthening standards across the finance organization. Help maintain data consistency across financial systems and support system upgrades and reporting improvements. Support tax filings, research, and ad hoc requests. Assist fixed asset cycle compliance and reporting. Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and project work as needed. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience (manufacturing preferred). Strong technical accounting skills, including US GAAP knowledge. Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, and/or TM1 is a plus. Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to manage highly confidential information. Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Experience mentoring or supporting other finance professionals is preferred.
