If you have the right service instincts, a professional attitude, and the drive to pass the Property & Casualty exam on your own, we'll give you the opportunity and reimburse your licensing expenses. You just need to earn it before your first day.
This isn't a "we'll train you from scratch on everything" situation. We're looking for people with real customer service or sales experience who want to build a career in insurance — not someone looking for any job that'll take them.
We're hiring a Customer Service Representative for our Fort Lee office to support our existing personal lines clients — auto, home, umbrella, and related coverages. Your day is built around taking care of people: handling policy changes, renewals, billing questions, coverage reviews, and making sure clients feel taken care of every time they call.
There's a cross-sell component — when you're helping a client and notice they're missing coverage, flagging it is part of doing the job well. But this is not a cold-calling or commission-only sales role. You'll have a base salary, benefits, and a structured Monday-through-Friday schedule.
How the Licensing Works:
You apply and we interview you based on your experience, attitude, and fit
If we extend an offer, it's contingent on you earning your New Jersey P&C license
You self-study and take the exam — most candidates complete this in 2-3 weeks
We reimburse your exam and licensing expenses
Your first day in the office is the day you're licensed and ready to work
Compensation: Base salary plus monthly service-related commissions ($57,000–$62,000 expected first year), 401(k) with company match, health insurance, paid time off, paid continuing education and license renewal, exam and licensing costs reimbursed.

Salary Range: $57,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of customer service, sales, or client-facing experience
- Professional phone presence and written communication
- Comfortable in a structured office environment
- Motivated enough to self-study and pass the P&C exam within 2-3 weeks of offer
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Bilingual English/Spanish a strong plus
- Prior insurance experience a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Service existing personal lines clients by phone, email, and in person
- Process policy changes, endorsements, and renewals
- Handle billing inquiries and payment issues
- Conduct coverage reviews and identify cross-sell opportunities
- Prepare and issue certificates of insurance and proof-of-insurance documents
- Work with Allstate underwriters and service teams to resolve client issues
- Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system
