To support our expansion on a project for Bose in the Automotive domain, we are looking for a Systems Test Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in system/platform validation, HIL test benches, and Python/PyTest automation.

About the project

Bose Automotive develops premium audio hardware and software for the global automotive industry, including modern “up‑integrated” software-only systems running on advanced head-unit/cockpit platforms. Tieto has been a partner for Bose since 2021 and supports Bose Automotive programs with engineering and quality capabilities.

Role

As a Systems Test Engineer, you will plan, execute, and automate system-level validation of embedded platforms, focusing on system behaviors, external interfaces, and integration points. You will work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams and stakeholders, ensuring repeatable, high‑quality test execution and clear reporting.

What you will do

• Plan and execute system-level validation of Bose platforms (system behaviors, external interfaces, integration points), including HIL-based scenarios.

• Work on test environment / bench setup (builds, installation, configuration, repeatability, stability).

• Implement and maintain automated system tests using Python + PyTest, and produce test result summaries and evidence packages.

• Drive issue reporting and support failure investigation using logs, measurements, and documentation.

• Track and communicate key test status (pass/fail trends, coverage/traceability when applicable) as part of project reporting.

What we expect (must-have)

• Experience in system/platform testing for embedded platforms, including external I/O validation and HIL test bench work.

• Ability to design and execute test plans, test procedures, and test reports, ensuring repeatable and reliable execution.

• Experience with test automation/scripting (Python + PyTest). 

• Familiarity with requirements-driven testing and working from requirements repositories. 

• Experience using lab & debug tooling and/or automotive/embedded interfaces (e.g., CAN, SOME‑IP, BT, A2B, Vector toolchains depending on platform). 

• Strong defect reporting skills: precise repro steps, evidence collection, and concise reporting in Jira-like workflows. 

• English communication at working proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD-oriented test execution or test infrastructure support.

• Exposure to automotive validation practices and/or working with complex integration environments.
